Beaches

The idyllic Trearddur BayThe beaches on Anglesey are magnificent. They are clean and sandy, and many are quite safe for families with smaller children. Several are protected by headlands, making them calm and placid. Our properties are all close to excellent beaches, so you can be paddling and exploring rockpools within minutes of leaving your cottage.

Church BayAwards are made annually by several bodies, and Anglesey has an exceptionally large number of beaches which have received awards under these schemes.

Blue Flag beaches - these are beaches meeting the extra-high standards of cleanliness and water quality of the Blue Flag organisation. There are no fewer than 6 Blue Flag beaches on Anglesey!

  • Church Bay, Benllech, Llanddona, Llanddwyn (Newborough), Trearddur Bay, Porth Dafarch

Green Coast Award beaches - these are beaches which not only meet the EU standards of cleanliness and water quality, but are also particularly natural and unspoiled.

Seaside Awards - these recognise beaches which meet a whole range of criteria, relating to cleanliness and facilities. The awards are made every year by 'Keep Wales Tidy'.
