Here is a selection of comments that our guests have been kind enough to leave:

Dec 2011, Mr & Mrs J, Derbyshire

Ty Lon Bach - The owner was very welcoming and the location was ideal for what we wanted to do during a 3 day visit which was local walking/sights and NY Eve at the White Eagle.

Dec 2011, The Kelleys and friends, London

Trebarwith - Thought it was amazing, the inside was all beautifully done out, it was lovely and warm even though it was blowing a gale, the kictchen had every utensil you could possibly think of, more than in our own kitchen. perfect for a party like ours, good for kids but lots of space for everyone. I really couldn't fault it.

Oct 2011, The Copeland family, Manchester

Hafod - We had a fantastic time, the views and the peaceful environment were amazing, pleanty of room for a big family to chill...we are definitely going to book again but for a week next time, that coastline is the most exciting I have ever seen and to wake up and walk outside the door and to see it so close was amazing. It was a real getaway from city life and we had some great walks too.....

Oct 2011, The Hooper family, Cheshire

Hafod - Loved it, loved it, loved it. Exceptional location, if the sea is for you then Hafod is too. Everything is there, just don't forget the camera. No matter what the weather or the season, in my view perfect!

Sep 2011, Brad & Jennifer, Warwickshire

Llynon Lodge - myself and my partner love searching out and exploring new bays and coast lines and Anglesey is certainly a great place for that. The house is a credit to it owners (my partner commented it was the sort of place you may see on Grand Designs) and the location is far away enough to feel secluded but not so isolated with many amenities only 15 minutes drive away in Valley and Holyhead. Also the booking process was smooth and without complications so we would certainly consider staying at Llynon Lodge in the future or another property from resortsandretreats.com.

Sep 2011, Mr & Mrs PH

Cwm Farm - Just a quick note to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cwm Farm – just a pity we couldn’t have stayed longer. We are currently contemplating the possibility of returning over Christmas so could you please let us know about availability. p.s. A quick raid of the orchard resulted in a smashing apple crumble.

 Sep 2011, Mrs Hespe

Cwm Farm - We really did enjoy our stay at the farm. The accommodation was very good; absoulutely everything we needed was supplied. The place was warm, clean and comfortable and the situation was ideal. We made full use of the near by fields and beach - part of the property - with our dogs free to run and swim. The wonderful Anglesey coast minutes away.

Sep 2011, The Hooper family, Cheshire

Llynon Lodge - Absolutely loved Llynon Lodge, a credit to its owner and architects, lovely location, secluded without isolation, loved the wood burner making it toastie warm and homely. High spec interior with views to complement. Look forward to a stay in the future.

Aug 2011, The Richardson family, Hampshire

Cwm Farm - Lovely house, v well equipped kitchen. Ideal location for beaches, sailing, v. pretty. Thank you

July 2011, Mr Lockett, Australia

Cwm Farm - Our 3rd family reunion holiday at Cwm Farm - as good as ever in glorious weather. I wont be back next year as I live in Australia, I'm sure the rest of the family will. Thanks again it has been a memorable time.

Sep 2011, Mrs S, Herefordshire

Hafod - We just wanted to say thank you again for allowing us to stay at Hafod last week.  We have had a wonderful break and the house couldn’t have been in a better location with spectacular views and plenty of space for all the family - perfect!

July 2011, The Williams family,

Llynon Lodge - A stunning property which has clearly been finished and furnished to an extremely high standard and is a credit to the owners.  Added to this, the location is truly idyllic and peaceful which contributed to a very relaxing holiday for the whole family.  Our six year old son was completely besotted with the place.  After exploring the local area and it’s wildlife with his dad by bicycle, he then had the benefit of the adjacent private field to play football and rugby.Even though we have our own luxury property in Trearddur Bay we would highly recommend Llynon Lodge as a perfect base for a relaxing stay on the Isle of Anglesey.  We will definitely be back in the not too distant future”.

July 2011, The Bolands, Derbyshire

Cwm Farm - "What a fantastic time we had at cwm farm, it was a absolute gem of a find and was very close to being perfect for us in every way( the younger members of the family think the barn would be so much more fun if it contained a games table!). The amount of room we had was just what we needed as it enabled everyone to have a little bit of a breather, i felt we were quite spoilt with cwm farm and everything it had to offer it was certainly one of the best equipped holiday homes we have ever stayed in. The weather was stunning for most of our holiday and the two rainy days certainly matter, i would love to be able to stay at cwm farm again on a regular basis, the calmness, "away from everyone" and peace and quite were just what we required, and that was certainly what we got."

July 2011, The Spencer family, London

Hafod - We had the most wonderful stay in Hafod we had a ball despite the weather!  The house is absolutely perfect as it has so much space for everyone with amazing views.

July 2011, The Hooper family

Cwm Farm - we loved it, it was just great. I know you are full for August, should anyone cancel, let me know and i would take it!

July 2011, The Moorhouse family

Hafod - Our third year running at Hafod! The position of the house is super, right on the coastal path and with a lovely view; the large garden is perfect; plenty of parking space; lots of space in the house for 12 people; plenty of bedrooms; super sized lounge, dining room and kitchen; the kitchen is well stocked and the utility room is really useful; the additional fridge and freezer are essential for so many people staying; the good-sized conservatory is well positioned; plenty of garden furniture, which we were able to make lots of use of this year; the 2 main bathrooms are a good size and there is always lots of hot water for showers and baths - the heated towel rails are a bonus. The tray of tea, coffee and biscuits  that awaits you on arrival is a lovely touch.

July 2011, Mrs Trotman, Glos

Llynon Lodge - We enjoyed our time at Llynon Lodge, thank you for the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits it was very welcoming. The Lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. The outside space was wonderful, we ate out on the decking due to the good weather.

June 2011, Mrs D, Yorkshire

Llynon Lodge - Thank you so much for allowing me to rearrange my two week stay in the lodge. We found [Anglesey] so unspoilt, and the flora and fauna were beautiful. The peace and quiet - beautiful views - and the comfort of the lodge, made for a memorable and much needed holiday. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on. Thank you once again for your kindness and I hope to return to the lodge soon.

June 2011, Louise and her Hen party!

Hafod - Firstly we would like to say thank you very much! We absolutely loved staying at Hafod! So big but warm and inviting. The views from the main windows out! Well you can't get better. And for future guests! The Seacroft for food and drink was 10/10. thank you from all who of us who had a fantastic time.

June 2011, Mr Donlevy and family

Cwm Farm - Thank you for a great weekend Cwm Farm was a great place to stay. A great place to relax and be with family. Would recommend it to anyone. Would like to return again in the future.

June 2011, Ms Latham and family

Cwm Farm - Had a wonderful time at Cwm Farm and have recommended it to several people. Hope to go again. Weather was great and the peace superb. Many thanks.

June 2011, Mrs Boylan and family, Shropshire

Cwm Farm - What a lovely place, the views to wake up to in a morning on both sides of the house are so so beautiful and Cwm Farm is so peaceful but with loads of wildlife around you, the hares, rabbits,  birds and even the fox were nice to see,  the sheep and horses closeby were lovely.  The weather was glorious for us apart from Sunday when we took a trip to Llynnon Mill and the pre-historic village which was well worth the trip.  The food at the White Eagle was good and the dog enjoyed being pampered there with dog biscuits and a water bowl specially for her. Thankyou for a lovely holiday, we are back at home now and wishing we weren't.    I will recommend Resorts and Retreats to all my friends.

May 2011, Mr & Mrs Nelson, Shrewsbury

Cwm Farm - We have stayed in numerous self catering properties in recent years.  Cwm farm was amongst the best - excellent situation 5 minutes to lovely beach with plenty of parking, good supermarkets close by and interesting places to visit in easy distance. The house was scrupulously clean, beds comfortable and very well equipped kitchen .
Children loved space in the house and our dog the enclosed garden . Large enough for the children to have enjoyable games of hide and seek .  We would definitely come again and hope to do so in the future

May 2011, Mr & Mrs Steadman, Gloucestershire

Llynon Lodge - We had a great time staying at Llynon Lodge. The lodge is so peaceful & relaxing.  A heron visited the stream and red legged partridges wondered in the garden. A pleasure to just sit and watch the wild life! The Lodge was lovely and comfortable and the bed has to be the most comfortable we have ever slept in, in a holiday cottage! We really liked Anglesey.  The highlight of the holiday was visiting LLanddwyn Island simply stunning and pure escapism! What a memory.

May 2011, Mr & Mrs H, Warrington

Llynon Lodge - Dear Melissa
Just a note to thank you for our week at Llynon Lodge it was so peaceful, we have had a great holiday and really fell for Anglesey; so much more relaxing than being amongst all the crowds in Cornwall! The weather was beautiful towards the end of the week and we really wanted to extend the stay.  The Lodge is so well finished throughout and is very comfortable.  The boys loved exploring the garden and we cannot wait to return....

May 2011, Mr P Butt, Hampshire

Llynon Lodge - Now back in the parched south, a moment to thank you for a wonderful stay in Llynon Lodge. The Welsh weather may not have been on top form, but it did give the Lodge an opportunity to show how good it is.  A true home from home in every way. We shall long remember our evenings in front of a roaring log fire – what better way of spending a British summer’s evening? We all agreed that yours was among the very best self-catering accommodation we have experienced, and we would love to return when we get the chance. Many thanks again. We wish you a successful season. With best wishes Peter, Valerie, Rick and Hazel.

May 2011, Mrs Oberholster, Cheshire

New Lodge - We had a lovely time and the cottage fulfilled all our needs as a group of 5. The interior was very pleasant and well presented and we really felt at home during our stay. The kids enjoyed to be able to play in the garden during the day times that we were at the cottage. The cottage is also not to far away from the main beach (about 5 minutes brisk walk), which was great. I would definitely recommend New Lodge and would like to return during the summer for another short stay. Trearddur bay also offers a lot of of possibilities. From little protected beaches to stunning walks and outings to the light house on South Stack with its rare Puffin's.

March 2011, Mrs Thomas, Spain

Ty Lon Bach - We had a lovely time at Ty Lon Bach.  It was perfect for what we wanted to do whilst we were in Angelesey and the weather was perfect. I would like to thank you for your excellent service that you provided.  I would come through you again the next time we need somewhere to rent.

May 2011, Mr & Mrs Ewin, London

Hafod - We enjoyed our weekend at Hafod and felt the position on the cliffs and the accommodation fully lived up to our expectations. The cottage is very spacious and we never felt cramped for space even though our party was twelve. The views are wonderful and it really makes a difference to be able to sit and enjoy the cliff scenery from the terrace and garden, and to be able to access the Anglesey coastal path from the garden. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there were plenty of bathroom facilities. The garden was also a good feature as it was large enough for children to be outside kicking a ball around or playing in view from the house. A lovely property.

April 2011, Mrs B, The Wirral

"Hafod was just what we wanted plenty of space inside and out - our 4 grandchildren really enjoyed the freedom outside - especially when we could sit having coffee in the conservatory watching them! Hafod is a beautiful house with a mixture of all ' mod cons' but the homely comfortable feel of a family house. We have recommended it to some-one who is looking for a large house with good views and lets face they don't come any better."

March 2011, Katie H, Stockport

Cwm Farm - "We had a lovely time. Can't wait to go back in April! Thanks for everything on behalf of us all."

March 2011, Erin, Chester

Llynon Lodge - "We had an excellent stay at Llynon Lodge, it was in a beautiful area and the Lodge itself was stunning. Its the perfect retreat from a busy city life. We have told all our friends about it. Many thanks."

New Year 2010-11, Helen N., London

Llynon Lodge - "Fabulously serene place to welcome in the New Year, a lovely setting, sleep with the river gurgling by comes easily."

November 2010, Steve & Mal, Brownlow, Cheshire

Llynon Lodge - "We needed a place to stay for a couple of days whilst looking for a suitable property to purchase on Anglesey, a hotel was ruled out as we also needed to relax and we personally do not feel any relaxation when staying in a hotel!

The Lodge more than met our expectations, excellent, quiet, private location, totally relaxing and finished to the highest specification, a credit to the family for spending so much attention to detail. We are still looking for the property to purchase so we will be looking forward to spending more time at the Lodge."

October 2010, Ms Mitchell, Sheffield

Llynon Hall Lodge - "Thank you for making me feel so welcome during my stay at Llynon Hall Lodge. From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I'd found a special place to escape the stresses and strains and to restore a sense of balance to life.

Not only was the setting idyllic, but the quality of the Lodge conversion and its interior was stunning throughout. It all contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable stay. I'll be highly recommending the Lodge to anyone who is thinking of holidaying on Anglesey (but only special people who deserve to stay somewhere so nice!)

I look forward to staying with you in the future and once again, thank you for your kindness and hospitality."

5th June - 12th June 2010, Mr K Cahillane, Prescot

Cwm Farm - "A comfortable well equipped cottage. Lovely linen and towels....Lovely location. At the price it was real value for money. Couldn't find a BBQ but overall had a great week. Thanks.
