Walking

Anglesey has some great walks.

The 125-mile Anglesey Coastal Path follows every twist and turn of the coast, presenting you with different views of the sea and the wildlife that lives on the sea. Of course you don't have to walk the whole path to enjoy it - walking just a short section will be a highlight of your holiday.

There are many public footpaths and rights of way across the island. Our cottages have Ordnance Survey maps which you can borrow - these detail all the footpaths. Anglesey is not too big and not too hilly, so walking is a great way to see the island.

Bwrdd Arthur, Red Wharf Bay - maps are available in our cottagesA word of warning - if you decide to go walking around Newborough Warren to the south of Anglesey, be very careful if you walk on the sands of the Menai Straits, particularly toward Abermenai Point. It is very easy to be caught by the incoming tide, and we recommend avoiding these walks altogether unless you are totally confident that you know the tide times and how far you are from the coast.
